As the founder and principal dentist of Sunrise Dental Chatswood, established in 2018 and continuing a long-standing family dental clinic in the area since the 1980s, he understands what it takes to build a trusted local business, support local jobs, and deliver lasting value to the community. Holding a Bachelor of Medical Science from UNSW, a Doctor of Dental Surgery from theUniversity of Melbourne, and a Graduate Diploma of Dental Implantology from the UK,with additional experience in oral and maxillo-facial surgery, Dr Yiu brings both professional credibility and a strong record of service. Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, he is well placed to engage with Chatswood’s diverse business and residentcommunities. As an active member of the Chatswood Chamber and a committee member of the Australian Dental Association NSW Advocacy, he values collaboration, clear representation, and practical action, regularly participating in Chamber networking events, including coffee catch-ups, business after-hours events, business and policy discussions, and board meetings, while working closely with local councillors and business and community leaders. If elected to the Board, Dr Yiu will champion stronger business networking, cross-cultural engagement, smarter digital promotion, partnerships across health and wellness, and initiatives that support innovation, connection, and sustainable growth across Chatswood and the wider Willoughby area.
